This is the unique original Watercolour painting by 20th Century unidentified artist.

Britain's first ever seagoing ironclad warship, the Frigate (later upgraded to Battleship) HMS Warrior, launched in 1861.

She is still in existence and can be found, beautifully restored, at Portsmouth.

The ship had two funnels for steam power but still three masts. Similar ships made the Trans-Atlantic crossing a quicker, safer and more reliable possibility for many.

Painting produced probably as part of the mid 1960s cover quiz series that was a popular Look and Learn feature.
