First edition of the hardcover reprint of the first volume of The Desert Scorpions. Originally published in 1977 this hardcover volume followed in 1989.

The Desert Scorpions is a war comic created by Hugo Pratt and published from October 1969 in the monthly magazine Sgt. Kirk . Translated into French in Tintin from February 1973.

The series is set in the early 1940s in North Africa during the African Campaign. Its main characters are members of an elite British section of the Long Range Desert Group (forerunner of the SAS) led by the Polish Koinsky. It is inspired by true events.
