This is the Signed unique original Watercolour painting by Roger Payne.
Captain Henry Morgan's Marauders were all desperate cut-throats, but at Panama, they proved that even scoundrels were capable of the most incredible bravery.
In the inset panel we see the locals lying in wait for the sailors whilst in the main panel we see how the locals have stampeded cattle into the path of Morgan's men.

Roger Payne (born 1934; UK)
Roger Payne is a British artist and prolific book illustrator.
He is known for his illustration paintings, which are characterized by their vivid colors and bold brushstrokes. He has illustrated many historical and classical scenes for Look And Learn, and numerous Odysseus, biblical stories, and mythology over the years.
His homoerotic work is also well known and he has also done many illustrations for books and magazines.
