This is a 1983 French language graphic novel adaptation of H. P. Lovecraft's A Night in Innsmouth by Frank Terrier in fine condition.

In 1927, young Robert Olmstead arrives in Newburyport. In search of his origins, he has no other option, to reach his destination, than to take a bus that passes through Innsmouth, a neighboring town about which terrible rumors circulate: pact with demons, deformed inhabitants, esoteric cult of a strange sea god.

The fear it inspires is such that no one dares to go there, and no one knows what is hidden behind the facades of its dilapidated houses.

However, the warnings of the residents of Newburyport, far from discouraging Robert, on the contrary push him to take an interest in this plague-ridden place: he decides to explore the meanders of the cursed city! It is the beginning of a descent into hell that will lead him to the gates of madness.
