Rugrats is an American animated television series created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó, and Paul Germain for Nickelodeon. The show focuses on a group of toddlers; most prominently—Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, and twins Phil and Lil, and their day-to-day lives, usually involving life experiences that become much greater adventures in the imaginations of the main characters.
The series premiered on August 11, 1991 with an initial instalment of 65 episodes spanning three seasons with the last episode airing on November 12, 1994. The show's fourth season began in 1997. As a result of the show's popularity, a series of theatrical films were released over the next five years, including The Rugrats Movie. The final TV episode aired on August 1, 2004, bringing the series to a total of 172 episodes over nine seasons.
On July 21, 2001, Nickelodeon broadcast the made-for-TV special All Growed Up to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the series.

King worked extensively with Warner Bros. Worldwide Publishing, scripting and drawing Looney Tunes, Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain and Taz-Mania, with many of his strips published by DC Comics.

Dave King (born 12 February 1964)
Dave King is a comic book artist, animation director, producer, writer and artist.
King started in the comic industry, writing and drawing for UK publishers such as London Editions Magazines, Marvel UK (and later for Panini), Fleetway Publications, H. Bauer, and the Scout Association.
He wrote or drew strips including Count Duckula, Rugrats, Barbie, Beetlejuice, The Spice Girls, Scazza for Roy of the Rovers, Taliska's Travels in Time for Cosmic, and Dennis the Menace and Gnasher and Desperate Dan, for The Beano and The Dandy.
King worked extensively with Warner Bros. Worldwide Publishing, scripting and drawing Looney Tunes, Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain and Taz-Mania, with many of his strips published by DC Comics.
He also wrote and drew newspaper strips including Looney Tunes and Taz-Mania, along with Ren & Stimpy and The Workers.
In the mid-1990s, King began working more in animation, co-art directing a music video for U2, taken from the film Batman Forever, and went on to work with many UK animation companies. In 2002 he directed the VBirds short series for Cartoon Network UK and in 2012 founded the company, Raindog Studios, directing, writing and producing for animation.
2011 saw him form the animation company Raindog Studios, in Volda, Norway, where he was one of eight animation directors, as well as the creative director/producer. He left the company in 2019.
In 2012 he joined the team at PalmDoorFilms as a producer on the documentary film, A Life in the Death of Joe Meek. The film is currently in post-production.
From 2010 to 2020 he was a lecturer on the animation and media production courses, working at BA and MA level, at Volda University College, Norway, and was the co-founder of both the Norsk Animasjonsentrum/Norwegian Animation Centre and of Kreative Søre Sunnmøre, a monthly regional forum for creatives and business people. In 2016, he created the blog Out Of Dave's Head, covering film, television and related media.
In 2020 he formed the production company Dave King Creative, to develop film, television and media projects.
