Selby William Donnison (19 August 1921 - February 1995; Tynemouth, UK) Selby William Donnison was born on 19 August 1921 in Tynemouth, Northumberland. He drew for Super Detective Library (1953-56), Thriller Picture Library (1952-54), Cowboy Comics Library (1952-57), The Sun ("Billy the Kid", 1953).
In the 1960s he illustrated for The Bible Story, and drew for Lion, including "Tales of Tollgate School". He was still working in the 1980s, when he drew "The Four Marys" for Bunty. He also illustrated books on a variety of subjects. He died in Newport, Monmouthshire, in February 1995.
