This practise started in the Fourth Dynasty, the "Golden Age" of the Old Kingdom. Horus as The Falcon God is depicted at the top of the design.
Artist and original publication yet to be identified, thought to be an issue of Look and Learn mid 1970s. A wonderful painting for those interested in Ancient Egypt. Professionally matted ready for framing.
