This is the Signed unique original Pen & Ink drawing by Enric Badia Romero.

A charming Modesty meets with the President of the small South American republic of Cuarembo to discuss a secret operation. A particularly feisty English girl has been kidnapped by revolutionaries and is being held hostage in the deep jungle. The President is refusing to negotiate or send in an army troop, instead wishing Modesty, Willie Garvin and a local specialist to deal with the situation more quietly.

This original strip is beautifully and meticulously brushed by Romero. Signed between the final two panels, this also represents a very early work in the Modesty timeline, and forms part of the third story Romero ever worked on.

There is a secondary whited out signature in the lower right of the first panel.

The artist has collected a newspaper cutting of the published strip and this is affixed to the reverse.
