The Book PalaceWe've been selling books and illustration art for over 40 years. We started trading in 1973 as Conquistador and were incorporated in 2001 and trade as The Book Palace. Our wide range of prestigious illustrated books covers book and comic illustration and includes first editions, limited editions and signed books. We are the proud publishers of illustrators, the sumptuous art quarterly featuring the world's finest illustrators and their art. Work Experience (internships)We are pleased to offer work experience for a minimum 2 weeks and a maximum of 4 weeks to students and graduates who are interested in art or publishing. The work involves general office admin and filing including art and book database entry, art and book photography and answering the telephones! There is client contact and we offer the chance to see how an established online art gallery and successful publishing house works. Typing and computer literacy are essential. You should have excellent written and spoken English, have a good telephone manner, plenty of enthusiasm and an interest in art. We are a friendly, relaxed company and our office hours are 9am - 5pm, Mon - Fri. Mostly we have fun, but we work hard. If you are interested please contact us by email ONLY with a short CV.
