This is the original Pen & Ink drawing by Thomas Heath Robinson.

Single page (6th page) of chapter 4 of Thriller Picture Library issue 45. The adaptation of this famous story was written by future Modesty Blaise creator Peter O'Donnell, based on the 1846 novel Le Comte de Monte-Cristo by Alexander Dumas.

Although drawn by Thomas Heath Robinson towards the end of his career several of the faces were redrawn by Patrick Nicolle. In many cases it is the original that is shown as the paste up has been lost over the years, this will result in brown discolouration on the faces and is reflected in the low asking price.
