This is the unique original Mixed Media art by Ken Petts.

Famous Prisoners: Enemy of Rome. Caractacus. In A.D. 50 the Romans at last managed to conquer and capture Caractacus, the British chief who had led the most successful resistance to them.

Mere bravery was no match for Roman weapons, armour and sheer weight of numbers. The ferocious battle was fought in Shropshire. More stunning action art from Ken Petts.

Original artwork from Look and Learn no. 450 (29 August 1970).
