Prince Valiant volume 6 1947 – 1948

Prince Valiant volume 6 1947 – 1948 at The Book Palace

Ref: PV1947 (click for larger picture)

Hal Foster's masterpiece enters its second decade in the latest volume of Prince Valiant. Valiant and Aleta journey to The New World, where Aleta gives birth to Arn and acquires her Indian nurse, Tillicum. However, much of the rest of the story is packed with action as Valiant confronts the mad King Tourien of Cornwall. The volume is rounded off with an essay by Brian M. Kane discussing Foster's depiction of 'Indians' as it relates to the context of the time, as well as previously unpublished graphic goodies from Foster.
