This is the unique original Gouache painting by Mike Noble.

A fantastic original ink and gouache painting by Mike Noble painted for an edition of the British comic Look and Learn published 8th September 1962 for a series concerning The World's Legends.

The painting illustrates the legend of Tom Hickathrift, England's strongest man from the time of William the Conqueror, who is reported to have slain giants living in marshlands as well as killing one eyed dragons. This painting shows him squaring up to a giant who has uprooted a tree to use as a club.

The illustration board measures 340mm x 430mm and is in very good condition.

There are publisher's markings to the bottom of the board including the official Look and Learn filing sticker.
