Hand Signed Silkscreen print (Serigraphy) by Jean Giraud, aka Moebius also known as Gir.
This striking print is extremely rare and is hand numbered 6/45.
The screenprint has been printed on a sheet of fine art paper measuring 57.5 x 74 cm which has remained un-cut.
Jean Giraud spent some years of his life working with Stan Lee in America, resulting in Silver Surfer comics and a series of variant comic covers and posters for characters including Iron Man, The Punisher, Daredevil, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Batman, Electra, and collaborations with other artists resulted in a version of Tetsuo from Katsuhiro Otomo's Akira as well as Nausicaa from Hayao Miyazaki.
Moebius helped form the way modern science fiction ideas have been established, having worked on classic films such as Alien, Tron, The Abyss, The 5th Element and an unfortunately never completed version of Dune which was even to star Salvador Dali.
Moebius' influence can not be exaggerated and this is an extremely rare piece with a limited run of only 45 printed in 1984.
This is one of only 45 silkscreen prints produced, featuring one of the most classic super heroes of all time, by one of science fictions most accomplished artists, on an untrimmed sheet of art paper.
This is one of the smallest runs of prints ever produced by the artist and is a true collector's item.Click for larger image ...
