This is the Signed original Gouache painting by Ron Embleton.

The main panel on this board shows a squad of Grenadiers settle into a defensive position as a firefight breaks out in a woodland. Behind them the drummer continues to play whilst the firing continues.

Embleton paints the uniforms beautifully and pays attention to detail, the white horse of the house of Hanover gallops proudly on their heavily embellished caps.

The inset picture of the modern soldier playing bugle references the importance of music and military sound. Unfortunately, this board has sustained some damage, especially to this modern soldier's eye and cap, this is reflected in the price of this painting.
