These are the unique original Gouache paintings by Cecil Doughty.

In 1970 Scottish Television produced an adaptation of Sir Walter Scott's 1824 novel. The plot concerns a family divided over support for The Young Pretender, Bonnie Prince Charlie.

The famous character actor Jack Watson played the title character. It is very unusual to see Cecil Doughty in the pages of Look-In rather than his regular home in this period Look and Learn.
