This is the unique original Pen & Ink drawing by Cecil Doughty.

Pen and ink illustration by Cecil Doughty for page three of the story The Ghost of Galloping Nick.

The caption reads "The stranger smiled. 'One Ear Jack? A pretty villain, landlord, by all accounts." Lovely fine line work, note the youth literally sitting in the fireplace.

This was published in a collection Tales of Long Ago - but not the Arthur Conan Doyle book of that name. Exact details of publication yet to be determined.
