This is the Signed unique original Pen & Ink Wash by Fortunino Matania.

Original pen and wash painting depicting Gioachino Rossini (29 February 1792 - 13 November 1868) demonstrating the part of Figaro in The Barber of Seville.

It was written for Zamboni by Gioachino Rossini, who was also a family friend. Zamboni created the role at the Teatro Argentina in Rome on 20 February 1816.

The exquisite detail in this painting is Matania at his very best. Professionally matted ready for framing.
