This is the original hand-drawn production artwork which would have been behind the acetate animation cel, which formed part of the classic original 1960s Belvision studios animation Hergé's Adventures of Tintin. Here, Captain Haddock is shown in all his glory.

Extremely rare to come by, these pencil drawings are the original meticulously hand drawn pencil pieces which were used to produce the animation.

The Belvision animation studio was founded in 1954 in Belgium by Raymond Leblanc, and was Europe's most prestigious animation studio, producing animations for all three of the main Franco-Belgian productions: Tintin, Asterix and Lucky Luke.
