36 Francisco V. Coching Diego Cordoba tell us about one of the best Filipino komiks* artists you’ve never heard of who had most of his series turned into movies LEFT: Cover to Tagalog Klasiks #32 (1950). This is the third komiks-magazine in the Philippines, having started in 1949. The very early issues of Tagalog Klasiks were patterned after the American comics Classics Illustrated and, indeed, some of the serials were reprinted from their US equivalents, although translated into Tagalog.
