She outmanoeuvres him and he only just manages to escape to North Vietnam to try to re-establish his drugs pipeline. Pursued and finally killed by Modesty in a hand to hand fight to the death. SUSAN STORY 3: “THE GABRIEL SET-UP” STRIP 217 Dr. Varley’s secretary/receptionist at The Phoenix Sanatorium. It is she who shows the visiting Gabriel into the office. SUSHILLA STORY 92: “DEATH SYMBOL”: STRIP 9750 Nurse at the Patan Hospital in Katmandu attending to Paddy Boyd and assisting Dr. Banerjea who has confided in her about his attempt to contact Willie using self-hypnosis. It is she who goes to the Swayambhu temple to which it is hoped Willie will be drawn. Delighted when Willie turns up but later Paddy asks her to try to dissuade him and Modesty from trying to rescue Maureen. SUTTON, Sergeant George STORY 52: “DEATH IN SLOW MOTION”: STRIP 5649 Assistant to Inspector Brook in putting Paul Aquilina in prison, where he died. He is working undercover when Cyrena Aauilina arranges for Foxy Dawlish and his boys to kill him in revenge for the death of her husband. He is saved by Modesty and Willie and gives them the lead that puts them on Cyrena’s trail and from there to the rescue of Brook and his daughter Lynn. SZIGETI STORY 7: “TOP TRAITOR”: STRIP 812 One of the foreign agents invited by Graf von Schuyler to bid for Sir Gerald Tarrant at his auction. At the end of the pre-auction banquet he picks Modesty in her Maria disguise to spend the night with him.
