A beautiful and fascinating rare book from 1866. Over 150 years old this book's text leaves remain un-opened.

Hand coloured plates of Ornithology and Beatle like creatures (Coleoptera), Molluscs and Chaetocercus Christicauda. At least 6 hand coloured plates plus further uncoloured illustrated pages including Alpacas, Bat type creature, feet of crested Agouti, also shoulder of Agouti (species of rodent).

Also two hand coloured pages of species of Euptychia (genus of butterfly).

This is a fascinating publication which has remained in super condition. Slight chipping on covers and spine shows splits in sections.
