The scarce first edition of this publication, housed in the publisher's original illustrated card carrying case, with plastic handle.

Consisting of two volumes, held together in the publisher's unopened shrink wrap.

The larger of the two volumes in this set is all issues of McCay's Little Nemo, termed 'a diminutive hero of comic narrative, but one of the greatest dream voyagers of the 20th century'. These comics set standards for panel layout and storytelling technique, timing and pacing. This volume collects all 549 episodes of Little Nemo, in full colour.

The second volume of this collection is art historian Alexander Braun's critical study 'Wilson McCay: A Life of Imaginative Genius'. Braun places McCay's life and work within the cultural history of the American media and entertainment industry, exploring the artistic and historical value of McCay's dream narrative.

Two volumes; one in the publisher's cloth, and one in the publisher's paper wraps, in the original unopened shrink wrap. These volumes are housed in the publisher's pictorial card presentation box, with plastic handle in full working order. Light bumping to joints of box, with boards bright.
