Billy Martin, former weakling, but now a hard man on the football field gets caught up with villains asking him to throw a game for England's Under-23 team.
This is one page from an eight page story that appeared in the Valiant Annual 1982.
Artist David Sque is probably best known for his work on the famous Roy of the Rovers strip between 1975 and 1986.

David Sque; UK
David Sque studied at Bournemouth Art College and got his National Diploma in Art and Design. He started working for IPC in the 1960s - one of his earliest strips being The Skids Kids - a sports strip in the kids' humour title, Buster.
Best known for his comic illustration work, including Martin's Marvelous Mini, and, for the last 10 years, Scorer in the Daily Mirror.
He became the artist of the celebrated Roy of the Rovers comic strip in January 1975, and continued to draw it until August 1986.
Over the years he has also done a lot of work for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
David has been a full time artist and illustrator all his professional life and continues to paint fine art including personal portraits.
