Modesty checks over her gear and makes a plan with her guide Gil and Willie Garvin in this hand inked strip by Romero.

Great full portrait of Modesty and also large close up in the final panel, her tipped up collar giving that extra edge of style.

This strip is a very early work in the Modesty timeline, and forms part of the third story Romero ever worked on: The Green-Eyed Monster.

• Artist Biography
  Enric Badia Romero (born 1930; Spain)
  The celebrated Spanish artist launched the comic Alex in 1953 and in 1970 took over the illustration of Modesty Blaise, the long running syndicated newspaper strip of Peter O'Donnell's adventurous sexy heroine, for longer than any other artist. He is also famous for his full colour and pen and ink illustrations of the scantily clad heroine Axa.
