Indian Summer contains some of Milo Manara's finest artwork. The art graces Pratt's story of Puritan settlers in America and their uneasy co-existence with the native Indians in a quite wonderful manner. Compared favourable by noted comics historian Maurice Horn to the works of Nathaniel Hawthorne, this is a complex adult story.

This is the second edition (i.e. the hardcover edition rather than the soft cover) of 1000 copies of which 500 were a hardcover limited edition with a tip in plate signed by Milo Manara and numbered 160 / 500.
