This is the unique original Gouache painting by Richard Hook.

Painted for issue 519 of the British Comic Look and Learn, this great impression of the prophet Nostradamus by Richard Hook shows the protagonist in the foreground and some of his many prophecies shown in the background: pastiches of the French Revolution, the Great Fire of London, The Plague, Napoleon and even the execution of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.

Nostradamus (1503 - 1566) is fabled to have predicted the day of his own death, but was also buried with his last prediction - the date his body would be exhumed and reburied! He must have been a time traveller or had links to inter-dimensional friends surely?

The board has a crease along the lower left hand corner.
