Gabby Hayes 'Tall Tales for Little Folks' (1954)

This is an extremely rare and fun book, published in 1954. The brilliant cut out Gabby Hayes figure from the first page untwists and each page shows him in a different costume, an astronaut, Santa Clause, Pirate, Ring Master and more. Please check the secondary photo for an example.

It is unlikely that many of these books have survived the test of time in such good condition, as with most pop up or interactive books, they often suffer accidental abuse from young readers. This copy is in fantastic shape.
