This is the unique original Gouache painting by Gordon Hutchings.

Summer fun in the local park's pool. Duotone blue and black paint (with note that it should be printed orange). No indication as to date but would have been published in TV Toyland or slightly later Playhour.

The unusual format for the strip means it might have been commissioned for a Playhour Annual. The painting is presented on a quality clean artboard, suitable for framing.

  Gordon Hutchings took over the long-running Gulliver Guinea-Pig strip from Philip Mendoza around 1961 and his crisp charming work appeared in Playhour and later the Teddy Bear Annual.
