These stories appeared in the short-lived children's pre-school title TV Toyland which was published between 1966-67 before being merged with the more well known Playhour.
As ever with Num Num and his Funny Friends an accident leads to new possibilities.
Although the four panels have been mounted onto a backing board, that board is itself labelled as Playhour-TV Toyland page 8. December 20th 1969 making this one of the oldest Num Num strips we have discovered.
Gordon Hutchings Gordon Hutchings took over the long-running Gulliver Guinea-Pig strip from Philip Mendoza around 1961 and his crisp charming work appeared in Playhour and later the Teddy Bear Annual.
