This is the unique original Gouache painting by 20th Century unidentified artist.

A selection of eight different breeds of dog that people might consider for a pet. The article goes on to explain some of the basics of looking after dogs.

The breeds shown from left to right are Great Dane, Bull Terrier, Irish Terrier, Labrador, Pekinese, Spaniel, Wire-Haired Fox-Terrier and Spitz.

The art was published in Look and Learn issue 270, 18 March 1967.
