These stories appeared in the short-lived children's pre-school title TV Toyland which was published between 1966-67 before being merged with the more well known Playhour.
This is the oldest piece of original Num Num art we currently have on offer. It is the front cover to TV Toyland issue 20, published 8th October 1966. It is a wonderful example of Hutchings anthropomorphic stories for pre-school children. The board itself is clean and bright looking fantastic for its 50+ years in storage.
Gordon Hutchings Gordon Hutchings took over the long-running Gulliver Guinea-Pig strip from Philip Mendoza around 1961 and his crisp charming work appeared in Playhour and later the Teddy Bear Annual.
