102 Nino Caroselli A mysterious artist who made a big splash in the war comics and later disappeared Benedetto “Nino” Caroselli, like most Italian illustrators from his generation, began working through the Dami Studio in Milan during the 1960s. Through Dami, and their connection with the British market, he produced hundreds of covers for the pocket libraries published by Fleetway, but is for his work for their war titles that he is best remebered. He did, however, also work for the Italian market, producing mainly covers for pulp thrillers, mostly in a sexy vein.
