93 The Gallery: Moebius METAL HURLANT 1980 calendar : This acrylic painting by French cartoonist Jean (Moebius) Giraud (1938-2012) appeared for the first time in the 1980 calendar of Métal Hurlant , one of the first science-fiction comic magazines for adults. Moebius pretty much established himself as one of the premier artists of sci-fi comics in the world, and his talent was also used to create character designs for many movies.
