EXTRACTS: Illustrators issue 15 © 2016 The Book Palace (96 PAGES in Full edition)

96 @ Here is Jeff Miracola's reaction to his feature in issue 13: Peter. I received the illustrators 13 copies. The magazine looks absolutely stunning. The print quality is top notch. I am going to post about it tomorrow because Thursday is one of my more responsive social media days. Again, thank you so much. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. —Jeff Miracola Great to receive the following email from another of our US subscribers: I was trying to read the new illustrators from cover to cover, before writing, but I just thought.. I'm looking so forward to reaching out…why not write while I'm half way through. It's really, really an awesome issue!! I am always incredibly impressed with the amount of visuals, the quality and then…the superbly told stories of these artists. I have even looked up referenced websites and fun stuff about Jeff Miracola, and watched a couple of his videos! Thank you for giving us all this inspiration, and the venue to see accomplished artists' work in an impeccable presentation. —Laura Bryson We recently had the pleasure of meeting up with one of our leading feature writers—the amazing Diego Cordoba, whose life story is every bit as fascinating as the artists he writes about—here's what he had to say about the day and issue 14 of illustrators. We ought to mention that Diego's skill sets are such that he delivers every feature he prepares for us as completed layouts ready to send to print: It was great meeting you face to face. I had a blast with you fellows. That aside, I've been looking over at issue #14 and I believe it's simply great. One of the best (if not the best) so far. Having two modern—yet totally different—artists, such as Joe (Jusko) and Tara (McPherson), was a brilliant idea. And adding Maurice Leloir to the roster was excellent. Obviously, this is how the issues are usually done, but this time around it's really wonderful! Can't wait to see what issue 15 will be like. —Diego Cordoba Lastly we received the following email from one of our many subscribers: Is there any chance of a feature on Jesus Blasco? He was such an important part of the UK comics scene and his art was simply beyond beautiful. He must be worthy of a feature at some point in the future. —Derren Nesbitt You must be a mind-reader Derren, just such a feature is on the cards, with access to some of his best original art and the storytelling skills of Diego Cordoba, we think that you and the rest of our readers are in for a real treat. And here is the ever effervescent Aidan O'Connell, with his daddy Mitch: And not forgetting Tor Upson, another of the talents appearing in issue 13: Coming Soon— James Gurney!
