1 ISSUE TEN EDITORIAL The work of William Stout has been seen by a truly global audience. Comic art fans, rock music aficionados, lovers of fairy tale and fantasy illustration, dinosaur devotees; all have gazed in wonder at his work. But his art extends way beyond even these diverse parameters, as one adds to this list; moviegoers, theme park visitors, museum attendees, pizza eaters and even Satanists! His list of achievements is dizzying. Join us as we delve deeper into the life and times of this remarkable artist. The work of Patrick Nicolle is familiar to a post-war generation of British schoolboys who grew up reading historical adventure strips illustrated with his lively and vigorous art. As Norman Wright explains, his passion for researching every aspect of the historical dramas he was bringing to life led to his best-selling Puffin Book on Arms and Armour , which in turn provided a touchstone of inspiration for one of the UK's then leading toy manufacturers. We are delighted to welcome to our team Jennifer Gori, whose passion for illustration is already known to readers of Inked and Beautiful Bizarre magazines. For her first outing with illustrators , she focuses her attention on the work of Cynthia Sheppard, whose Neoclassical approach to fantastic subject matter has spawned a strong and dedicated fan base. In the course of her examination of Cynthia Sheppard's art, Jennifer sheds a lot more light on this artistic journey. Adding to the international flavour of this issue, we are delighted to invite you to the studio of one of Mumbai's hottest illustration talents, as Amit Tayal tells us about what set him on the path to illustration and how he achieved his dream. We are delighted to launch a new feature where we highlight the work of up and coming talents and the first of these is Wu Chen who is currently studying illustration at The New York School of Visual Arts. We think you will be as knocked out as we were when we first saw her amazing art.
