He is now wanted for murder in Darwin and in hiding in the New Guinea highlands. He has taken over a clan and made war on and subjugated other local clans. His clan had found a safe lost by the Japanese in their retreat at the end of World War 2 which the clan now worships as The Iron God. It is reputed to hold industrial diamonds worth a million pounds. He forces Willie to try to open it much against the wishes of the clan. When Nauga cuts the rope holding the safe high in the air it falls on him and kills him.
