The 1982 unsold pilot can still be found on the internet. The relocation to California of both the action and the characters is perhaps sufficient explanation as to why it was unsold. The 2004 action film directed by Scott Spiegel, “My Name is Modesty” had a great Modesty fan, Quentin Tarantino as its Executive Producer. It was released direct to DVD and can still be found on the internet. It has been suggested that the film was only made in order to trigger an extension of the film rights. It covers Modesty’s life prior to the stories in the original daily strip and parallels the twelve strip “introduction” produced for syndication clients titled “In the Beginning”. I I 2264
