This is the Signed unique original Pen & Ink Wash by Enric Badia Romero.Modesty and Willie Garvin receive precious information from two phonecalls... one is a threat, the second is an invitation, from the same caller.
This strip features Modesty in all 3 panels in different poses, proving again that Romero can execute these drawings with an ease only available to artists with true knowledge and mastery of the human form.
Peppered with Romero's unmistakable brush strokes and heavily signed by the artist in the first panel, this strip shows some fabulous use of light and shade as well as a variety of inking techniques.
This strip is number 7635 of the Modesty Blaise series and was published in 1991. It forms part of the story 'Walk-About', set in Australia.
Enric Badia Romero has drawn more Modesty Blaise strips than any other of the Modesty Blaise artists, and is also responsible for the extremely popular strip AXA.
Modesty Blaise was Peter O'Donnell's most famous literary creation and has appeared in many popular novels and newspaper strips for nearly 40 years.
The strip has been kept in the artists' personal collection for over 30 years and is being made available for the first time.
