One page from story eighteen in the Follyfoot series that was published in Look-in magazine between July 1971 and May 1974. This is the first page of the third episode of the story. Nero, a polo pony belonging to haughty Anthony Darthington, is being cared for by Dora at Follyfoot.
Follyfoot was a co-production between the UK and a German production company. It was originally broadcast between 1971 and 1973. The basis of the series was that Follyfoot Farm looked after retired or hurt animals and was partially staffed by people who had been in some sort of trouble.
It had plenty to say about animal welfare and its target audience was more teenage than young girls going through their pony phase. Mike Noble produced some of his best work on the adaptation that ran in Look-in magazine.
This is from Look-in issue 13 page 24.
