An original hand painted animation Cel which formed part of the cult animation feature length film 'Daisy Town'. This film cel was used in the scene in which the Daltons have a night time coffee break 25 minutes into the film.
The Daltons are the main bad guys in Lucky Luke, the Western bande dessinée series created by Belgian cartoonist Morris (Maurice De Bevere) in 1946. Morris wrote and drew the series single-handedly until 1955, after which he started collaborating with French writer René Goscinny, who also created the Astérix series. Their partnership lasted until Goscinny's death in 1977.
Daisy Town was a Franco-Belgian animated film and was Lucky Luke's first ever animated appearance - the plot was written by Rene Goscinny and most of the characters featured had appeared in the Lucky Luke albums drawn by Morris.
The Cel is accompanied by the animation studio tracing paper backing which has details of colour notes and is signed by an animator.Click for larger image ...
