From October 2010 to February 2011 the Fondation Cartier organized an important personal exhibition dedicated to Jean Giraud, alias Moebius, one of the great masters of French comics. Based around the theme of transformation, the exhibition presented pages of comics, the original notebooks, drawings and paintings, as well as film work. This book accompanying the exhibition brings together an exceptional selection of artwork including many unpublished works.

Everything from Arzach and Blueberry to futuristic landscapes, hybrid creatures and sophisticated spaceships, this is most certainly the finest collection of Moebius art ever collected. The literary text on metamorphosis by Alberto Manguel, echoes the work of Moebius.
