This is the unique original Watercolour painting by Harry Green.

Today they are steadfastly British, but in days gone by the Channel Islands have suffered conquest by the Romans, Vikings, Normans - and the Germans.

Top left are portraits of William the Conqueror and King John whose reigns were tied up with the history of the islands. Mount Orgveil Castle can be seen in the background of the main picture.
