This is the unique original Watercolour painting by Ron Embleton.

Francis I of France vs. Henry VIII of England. Victory fell to Francis the First in a friendly wrestling bout with Henry the Eighth - one of the few battles this vain king fought on behalf of France which did not end in bitter and dismal failure.

Original artwork for illustration on p4 of Look and Learn issue no 534 (8 April 1972). Ron Embleton imbues this painting with a sly humour that the subject matter so readily deserves.
