This is the unique original Pen & Ink drawing by Neville Colvin.

The siege of Port Arthur (1904-5) was the longest and most violent land battle of the Russo-Japanese War. Port Arthur, the deep-water port and Russian naval base at the tip of the Liaodong Peninsula in Manchuria, had been widely regarded as one of the most strongly fortified positions in the world.

The original pen and ink drawing for one of a series of illustrations Colvin created to illustrate historical events for a British magazine in 1965.

Detailed and extremely accomplished pen, brush and ink work.

From the Neville Colvin Archive.
