The World's Toughest Sports: Daredevils On Horseback. Captain Becher, thrown at a fence during the Grand National, caught his horse and was soon in the lead again.

Although his horse Conrad fell for a second time Becher's bravery was noted and the scene of his first fall became known as the now infamous Becher's Brook as featured in the Grand National.
