These are the unique original Watercolour paintings by John Worsley. This charming watercolour panel painted by John Worsley demonstrates the artist's prowess as a deft watercolour artist. He uses gorgeously fluid watercolour washes to create a warm hazy atmosphere coupled with subtle purples to create shadow, contrasting beautifully with the minute accuracy visible in the Baby Elephant Hannibal. With some working pencil lines still visible through the colour, a rare glimpse of the artist's process can be gleaned.
Please note: this piece comes with 2 additional free original watercolour colour panels painted for this same adventure.
Worsley, who spent time in a P.O.W. camp after being captured in Yugoslavia during World War II, achieves a fantastic liberation from the past by painting in such a fluid joyful manner.
Worsley's work can be found in The Imperial War Museum, The Maritime Museum, The collection of HM The Queen, The Savage club and many other private collections including those of Royal Families, banks and Colleges.
