This is the original Watercolour painting by Clive Uptton.

There was a shocked silence when the great Pharaoh Amenhotep IV told his courtiers that from that day on they would worship but one God, Aten the sun god.

He changed his own name to Akhenaten meaning roughly "One who is in service to Aten". This didn't go down too well with lots of newly unemployed priests.
