These are the unique original Pen & Ink Wash by Stanley Houghton.

The former Rob Riley artist Stanley Houghton brought his style to bear on several later episodes of the Follyfoot serial in Look-in. This example is from 1974.

Follyfoot was a co-production between the UK and a German production company. It was originally broadcast between 1971 and 1973. The basis of the series was that Follyfoot Farm looked after retired or hurt animals and was partially staffed by people who had been in some sort of trouble.

It had plenty to say about animal welfare and its target audience was more teenage than young girls going through their pony phase. There are two speech bubbles missing from the 6th panel on the first page.

First published in Look-in in 1974.
