Man of Gold (Original)

Man of Gold (Original) by Central and South American History (Ron Embleton) at The Illustration Art Gallery

Ref: EmbletonRGoldMan (Click for LARGE picture)

Artist: Ron Embleton (biography)
Medium: Gouache on Board
Size: 13" x 17" (330mm x 425mm)
Date: 1964

This is the original Gouache painting by Ron Embleton.

A whole illustration board painted by Ron Embleton. Four conquistadors are pushing around natives carrying baskets, attempting to discover the source of the local gold. A peaceful lake and mountainscape lie in the background, whilst wonderfully painted expression filled conquistador faces appear at the forefront of the image.

Embleton paints with fantastic detail. The Title in the text box reads 'Man Of Gold', and this painting would have appeared as a full page of Finding Out magazine. Unfortunately the text box somewhat truncates the image, which is reflected in the price of this artwork.
